Hall & MuseumFriends of Preston Park
(Preston Hall Museum & Park)

Following a threat to the integrity of the park by development plans the friends group grew from a successful Protect the Park campaign group, into its current form, drawing members from across the valley and beyond. Our vision is contained in a broad statement, but in broad terms we are committed to representing the wishes of the broad park using community, by working with the Local council and its officers to ensure high levels of service, sympathetic development, and the ongoing Maintenance of the Park and Hall for all future Generations. The three key elements being :-

a) Community - a focal point for leisure, education and wellbeing.
b) Heritage – to showcase the worth and depth of our heritage and the place that is Preston.
c) Outdoors and countryside – as a gateway to enjoying activities outdoors and the greater countryside beyond.
